Global Cities Gazetteer (GeoNames, pop ≥ 1,000)

Every populated place on Earth with population ≥ 1,000 - ~150k cities and towns - in one clean, geocoded table. GeoNames ships it as a header-less tab-delimited dump; we parse it to a tidy row per place: name (+ ASCII), country, admin-1/2 codes, population, elevation, timezone and lat/lon. The universal populated-place join key (name ⋈ country ⋈ coordinates) that geocodes or enriches any geo dataset. CC-BY 4.0.

Global Earthquake Catalog (USGS ANSS ComCat, M≥4.5)

Every significant earthquake on Earth since 2000 in one clean table - the authoritative global seismic record. The USGS ANSS Comprehensive Catalog is served as GeoJSON that caps at 20,000 events per query and buries the useful fields in nested properties; we page the whole M≥4.5 catalog and flatten it to one fat row per event: time, location, depth, magnitude and type, felt-report count and shaking intensity (CDI/MMI), tsunami flag, PAGER alert level, significance, and network QC (azimuthal gap, RMS, station count). Keyed by USGS event id, ready for cat-risk, GIS and hazard modelling. Public domain.

Exoplanet Catalog (NASA Exoplanet Archive)

Every confirmed exoplanet and its host star in one clean table - the authoritative NASA catalog, ready to use. The NASA Exoplanet Archive's composite-parameters table gives the best published value per planet across all studies; we query it and ship one fat, tidy row per planet: planet & host-star identity, discovery method/year/facility, orbital parameters (period, semi-major axis, eccentricity), physical parameters (radius & mass in Earth units, equilibrium temperature), stellar parameters (spectral type, temperature, radius, mass), distance and sky position. Updates as new planets are confirmed.

Global POI Density

How many points of interest of each kind exist in each country - the amenity-mix / retail-footprint reference table, aggregated from Overture Maps' global Places layer (~60M+ POIs) without shipping a single raw point. Overture publishes Places as Parquet on public cloud storage; we run a remote pushdown aggregation straight against it and ship the clean result: one row per (country x Overture primary category) with the POI count and that category's share of the country's total POIs. Hundreds of categories - restaurants, cafes, clinics, schools, hotels, supermarkets, banks, gyms, offices, places of worship - across ~230 countries. Keyed by ISO-2 country + category so it joins any country reference table. Aggregate counts only - no place names, no coordinates, no personal data. CDLA-Permissive-2.0.

US Product & Food/Drug/Device Recalls (CPSC + FDA)

A clean, cross-agency recall feed no scraper sells: US consumer-product recalls (CPSC) plus FDA food, drug and device enforcement/recalls (openFDA), normalised into ONE tidy table - one row per recalled product. Common schema across sources: recall id, date, product, recalling firm, reason/hazard, FDA severity classification, status, country/state and a link. The dedup + normalisation IS the product. Consumer-contact and injury free-text dropped (no PII).

US College Outcomes (Dept. of Education College Scorecard)

Cost and outcomes for every U.S. college in one clean table - the fields prospective students and workforce researchers actually want, lifted out of a ~3,000-column government CSV. The Department of Education's College Scorecard is authoritative but unusable raw (cryptic codes, 'PrivacySuppressed' sentinels); we select ~18 fields and ship one fat row per institution: identity and location, ownership, admission rate, median SAT/ACT, undergrad enrollment, cost of attendance and net price, median graduate earnings 10 years out, completion and retention rates, median debt, Pell share and the 3-year default rate. Keyed by the federal UNITID. Public domain.

US Crime Offenses

Every U.S. state (plus DC and a national 'US' series) across the 10 UCR offense classes - violent crime, homicide, rape, robbery, aggravated assault, property crime, burglary, larceny, motor-vehicle theft and arson - as one tidy table: monthly offenses known to law enforcement, offenses cleared, the crime and clearance rate per 100,000, the covered population and reporting-coverage percentage, straight from the FBI's Crime Data Explorer (UCR/SRS). Decades-deep, nationally comparable, keyed on the 2-letter state code. Aggregate counts only, no victim/offender/arrestee records.

US Government & Community Facilities (HIFLD Open)

Every US public facility that matters for site-selection, logistics, insurance and civic research in ONE clean, stacked table - the copyleft-free (no OSM/ODbL) substitute for the SafeGraph/ScrapeHero POI packs. DHS's Homeland Infrastructure Foundation-Level Data (HIFLD) Open was the public-domain catalogue of national facility data; the portal was shut down in August 2025 and the whole open corpus preserved by SeerAI on Source Cooperative under CC-BY-4.0. A CURATED set of 11 clearly-public facility layers - fire/EMS stations, hospitals, public & private schools, colleges & universities, local law enforcement, prisons, nursing homes, VA medical facilities and dialysis centres - in one tidy long table: category (the layer), facility name, type, full street address, city, county, state, zip and lat/lon on every row. ~286k facilities across all 50 states + territories. Public buildings only - every contact-person, phone, email and owner column dropped, so no PII.

US Healthcare Provider Density

How many healthcare providers of each specialty practise in each US county - the aggregate density panel built from CMS's National Plan & Provider Enumeration System (NPPES). The ~8M-row national provider file rolled up to counts by provider taxonomy (specialty) x county FIPS: total providers, plus the split between individual (NPI-1) and organisation (NPI-2) enumerations. No individual providers, names or addresses - aggregate counts only, joins cleanly to Census, CDC PLACES and demographic panels. Public domain (CMS/NPPES).

US SNAP

Every US retailer authorized to accept SNAP (food-stamp) benefits - ~254k stores - in one clean, geocoded table. USDA's Food and Nutrition Service exposes it as a paginated ArcGIS service; we page the whole layer and ship one fat row per store: name, store type, full address, county and lat/lon. A clean, open food-access / retail-footprint POI set - the kind of location data usually sold by scrapers, here authoritative and public domain. Owner/grantee personal-name field dropped (no PII).

US Storm Events

The official U.S. record of severe weather, cleaned into one fat events table: tornadoes, hail, floods, hurricanes, winter storms, heat, wildfire - every event since 2000 with the human and financial toll. NOAA/NCEI ships the Storm Events Database as one gzipped ~50-column CSV per year, with property and crop damage encoded as strings like '1.50M'; we assemble every year, parse the damages to real USD numbers, and keep the fields that matter - timing, state, hazard type, injuries and deaths (direct & indirect), property & crop damage in USD, magnitude, tornado F/EF scale, and a begin geocode. One row per event, keyed by NOAA event id. The open, authoritative alternative to CC-BY-NC EM-DAT. Public domain.
